About the Artist
D.H. Boutin (formerly known as Douboutin) was born and raised on Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada. Her childhood was full of fun and adventure; she was always creating something whether it be sock puppets, her own version of paint by numbers or doodling on her bedroom walls.
She was very successful in the Corporate world until she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2015. Her life look a drastic turn and she was forced to quit the corporate world and seek the solace from the physical and emotional pain and thru this came her realization that art was going to be her own personal therapy.
Within 6 months of teaching herself to paint she realized that her art was worthy to sell and have others enjoy.
Her weird and wonderful imagination coupled with her abstract view of the world helps to shape her crazy and sometimes downright ridiculous pieces; a true energetic piece of
her goes into each and every painting she does!
Boutin believes in giving and sharing with others always without exception and would give anything to have the world a peaceful loving place. She regularly partners with charitable organizations to provide her original artwork to raise money for that charity. One such charity is Bridges for Women in the town in which she lives; this was the start of her giving back as she was a Director on the Board of Directors before she had to relinquish her duties due to her condition. So now all she can do is give by donating her art. She is still always looking for more organizations that could use her help.
This is just but of one way she likes to give back and she wishes she could solve all of the worlds problems. But until then you can find her happily painting out of her cozy studio on the West Coast of Canada with her husband and two dogs by her side.
